KUL14 DATA CENTRE [16MW]
Jalan Cyber Point 4, Cyber 8, Cyberjaya, Malaysia
A 16MW air cooled 4-storey data centre in the established IT hub that is Cyberjaya. Building structure is designed to resist earthquake excitations to MS EN1998-1:2015 (2017) from far-field seismic events subjecting the site to a low level of seismicity (0.05g or 5%g at bedrock for a 10% probability of exceedance in 50 years and corresponding to a return period of 475 years). The data centre structure was built using precast concrete walls and precast concrete columns supporting precast prestressed concrete beams which in turn support precast prestressed concrete hollow core slabs, precast reinforced concrete double-T slabs and precast prestressed concrete planks. Also, staircases were constructed of precast concrete stair flights on precast concrete landings.
